조금이라도 고객들로부터 사랑받는 서비스가 되기 위해서 카페24는 최소한 ‘워드프레스 블로그’ 전용 테마 하나는 만들었어야 합니다. 디자인 컨셉을 유지하면서도 사용자가 원하는 대로 레이아웃과 구성을 바꿀 수 있는 Full Site Editing 기능을 지원하는 [블록 테마](https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/block-themes/)
로 말이죠. 아쉽게도 지금은 외산 무료 테마(블록프레스)가 기본으로 설치되어 있고 추가 테마 설치는 막아 놓았습니다. 잠재고객의 숨겨진 니즈는 파악하지 못한 것 같아요.

그리고 조금이라도 서비스에 진심이었다면 20여 개의 플러그인을 강제로 사용하게 하지도 않았겠지만, 최소한 전체적인 설치 및 설정 상태를 확인할 수 있는 플러그인을 하나 개발했어야 합니다. 워드프레스를 잘 모르는 사람도 그 플러그인을 통해서 해야할 일이 무엇인지 그리고 어떻게 하면 되는 것인지에 대한 안내를 받을 수 있기 때문이죠. 현재는 카페24 웹사이트 어딘가에 적힌 작은 글씨와 불편한 구조의 메뉴얼을 보고 따라하는 수 밖에 없습니다.

카페24는 워드프레스 운영을 위한 매우 쾌적한 환경을 제공하는 호스팅 업체입니다. 크리에이티브밴드는 여전히 고객사들에게 카페24만을 추천하고 있습니다. 앞으로도 그럴 것 같고요. 하지만 서비스의 완성도에 비해 보도자료를 너무 많이 뿌린 것 같아 실망이 큽니다. 베타부터 시작하면서 대한민국 워드프레스 생태계를 구성하는 많은 전문가들의 피드백을 받았으면 더 좋았을텐데 말이죠.
