워드프레스 기반의 온라인 스토어 구축 의뢰가 자주 들어옵니다. 하지만 대부분 [카페24](https://echosting.cafe24.com/Main/)
와 같은 쇼핑몰 서비스를 이용할 것을 권해드립니다.

물론 워드프레스 운영 경험이 풍부하고 콘텐츠와 관련성이 높은 커머스 서비스라고 한다면 고민 없이 워드프레스 기반의 온라인 스토어를 구축합니다. 최근에 진행한 [임볼든(IMBOLDN)](https://imboldn.com/ko/)
 웹사이트가 그런 예라고 할 수 있죠. 그 외에도 상품의 종류나 개수가 많지 않고 단순한 프로세스로 스토어를 운영할 계획이라면 무리없이 진행할 수 있습니다.

하지만 대한민국에서 일반적으로 경험할 수 있는 다양한 쇼핑몰 부가서비스를 모두 제공하고자 한다면 다시 생각해볼 필요가 있습니다. 예를 들어 ‘배송추적’, ‘문자 자동 발송’, ‘무통장 입금 알림’, ‘운송장 발급’ 등이 있습니다. 이런 기능을 제공하는 국내 업체가 제작한 유료 플러그인들이 있지만, 워드프레스 스탠다드와는 다소 거리가 있어 보입니다. (솔직히 다시는 쓰고 싶지 않은 플러그인들입니다)

사실 고객사가 원하는 대로 기능을 개발하는 것은 어렵지 않습니다. 하지만 오랜 시간과 많은 비용이 들어가겠죠. 워드프레스 도입을 결정하는 요인 중에 가장 중요한 것은 ‘경제성’일 것입니다. 이 부분을 무시할 수 없습니다.

만약 단순 스토어 기능 만을 원하는 것이라면 꼭 워드프레스일 필요가 없습니다. 카페24의 스킨을 커스텀하는 것이 보다 효과적입니다. 특히 워드프레스 사용 경험이 없다면 더욱 더.

참고로 카페24 쇼핑몰 서비스는 무료로 호스팅 서비스와 쇼핑몰 솔루션을 제공하고 있습니다. 기본 스킨으로 서비스를 제공하는 것이 불가능하지는 않지만 개성을 표출하고 싶다면 스킨 샵에서 스킨을 구매할 수 있습니다. 평균 가격은 10만원 정도입니다.
